Aboriginal people have valued this plant for thousands of years, the Kakadu Plum is a small fruit found in the Eucalypt open woodlands across Northern Australia, and is harvested by locals from March to June. The fruit is Australia's premier super food, famed to for its nutritional power and medicinal properties.

Kakadu Plums have the highest recorded natural amount of Vitamin C of any food in the world, they contain 13 times more antioxidant activity and 6 times the amount of polyphenols than blueberries.  As a source of iron and Vitamin E it contains the same amount found in broccoli.
