The season runs year-round from January 1 to December 31 in the Western and Central regions and from October 1 to September 30 in the Southern parts.
The extremely clean and clear continental waters abundant in nutrient-rich seaweed and algae contribute to the wild abalone characteristics and make Australia one of the top suppliers.

The Wild Greenlip, Blacklip and Brownlip Abalone is harvested from the sea floor by hand, by experienced divers. The Abalone meat is quickly shelled and placed into an ice slurry and transported.
